In our thirty-plus years in industry, we’ve done two things a whole lot: One is deliver training ourselves, the other is sit through hundreds and hundreds of pre-start meetings.
With our training, it’s common that we’ll come back from a trip with a page or so of notes on how to tweak the Strong Spine System to make it better. How better? In two ways: firstly, to make the teaching ‘stick’ – to shape the message in a way that translates into real habit changes. The second is to make the sessions more fun.
The pre-start meetings that we’ve seen have varied hugely in this regard. Some of them are bright, fun, informative and set a truly positive tone for the day. Others have been so bad they almost make you question your will to live.
It occurred to us what an opportunity to add value, this simple part of the daily routine can be. An opportunity to set a tone, to hone the focus of the team, emphasize the core values and to make sure that your people are bringing all of themselves through the gate.
We’ve laid down a set of simple rules to follow and structures to implement, that we think can make any pre-start meeting more dynamic and positive. To create a powerful ritual that helps improve the business.
In this 3-hour workshop we’ll run you through those rules, explain some of the fascinating behavioral science behind them and give you a chance to practice your skills in a fun, relaxed environment.
Not a good trainer or public speaker? Relax, you don’t need to be. If you set up a pre-start meeting well, it doesn’t rely on your ability as an orator, it can pretty-much run itself.
