Seminar Length – 45 Minutes
If you think that you are too lazy to have good posture then you are not alone – you are also wrong. Poor posture is not laziness. It is a combination of tightness in the muscles that pull us down, altered muscular habit in adaptation to our 21st century lifestyle and a lack of lubricant in our joints.
After this fun, active training session, participants come away with a new appreciation of how easy it is to adopt and maintain good posture. They also learn some new tricks in keeping their bodies loose as well as simple stretches that help reduce the risk of back, neck, shoulder or wrist problems.
Although it’s not the main focus of the session, a valued side-benefit is gaining a better understanding of the relationship between posture and stress. Learning to manage the gradual creeping escalation in muscle tension that many of us experience can yield benefits in sleep quality, clarity of mind and the ability to relax.
This fun and active session is ideal for a lunchtime seminar, health ‘topic of the month’ style presentation or as part of a larger wellness program.
